Did You Know?
In the pre-social media era, professors often had personal websites with links to all their different projects. For example, one famous economist shared their paintings on their website. How refreshing to share one’s niche interests! I aim to replicate that spirit here.
Fun Facts
- The colors on this website match my hair tone.
- I completed all my computer science education before the era of ChatGPT.
- I exhibited my art in New York in a project that combined multiple passions: global supply chains (economist), ASCII art (computer scientist), and textual analysis (writer).
- I wrote for my student newspaper.
- I became the university swim team captain despite almost not making the team in my first year. I also doubled the team size. Ask me how!
- I once organized a large mango fruit order from the market because the monopoly seller on campus offered low-quality fruit. A friend once remarked, “I can’t believe you made a campaign and website just for mangoes.” Actually, in the true computer science spirit, I also built a data system for orders in Python. Whatever I do, I approach it with drive and passion.
- I recovered a website for my organization, Women in Science, Computer Science, and Math. I value continuity and excel at creating structure. After three years in the organization, I wanted to make a meaningful contribution and give back. Through this project, my colleague became one of my best friends. We shared a vision, pushed each other, and made it happen. Thank you, Nouf!
